The Bible defines worship, as the offering of our bodies as a living sacrifice to God (Romans 12:1).  The first mention of worship in the entire Bible is Genesis 22:5 where Abraham takes Isaac to offer him as a sacrifice. Abraham tells the servants that “the boy and I are going to worship..” We are pretty sure that Abraham and Isaac were not going to the mountain to sing.

We do like singing, and we do keep some instruments on hand in case someone desires to initiate some singing. However, we do not “worship worship” and if you need the emotion driven modern song service, we are probably not your cup of tea.
